By downloading, installing, or using Flip ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. We may update these Terms from time to time, and continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Flip is a recipe transformation app that lets you import recipes from URLs, photos, or text, and modify them based on dietary goals, restrictions, and preferences. The App also provides nutritional estimates, recipe collections, grocery list generation, and personalized dietary rules.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's consent to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
You must create an account to use the App by signing in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
Flip offers a free tier with limited usage (3 imports, 2 flips, and 5 saved recipes per week) and a Pro subscription with unlimited access. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to their respective terms. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google per their refund policies.
You may use Flip for personal, non-commercial use only. You agree not to:
Imported recipes, generated modifications ("Flips"), and nutritional values are provided for informational purposes only. You acknowledge that Flips are generated by automated algorithms and artificial intelligence. These outputs may contain errors, suggest unsafe ingredient substitutions, or provide inaccurate nutritional data. The App is a tool for inspiration and convenience, not a definitive source of dietary safety. Flip does not guarantee the accuracy of calorie counts, macronutrient breakdowns, allergen information, or any dietary claims. You are solely responsible for reviewing all ingredients and verifying recipe content before preparation or consumption.
Flip is not a medical, nutritional, or healthcare service. The App does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations. Always use your own judgment, read ingredient labels, and consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical, allergy, or nutrition decisions. You are solely responsible for ingredient safety, food handling, preparation, and dietary suitability.
All content, design, code, trademarks, and other intellectual property in the App are owned by or licensed to Flip. You retain ownership of recipes you import, but you grant Flip a limited license to process that content for the purpose of providing the service. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from the App without our written consent.
You are responsible for any content you import into or create with the App. You represent that you have the right to use any content you import and that it does not infringe on any third-party rights. We do not claim ownership of your recipes, rules, or collections.
The App integrates with third-party services including Firebase (authentication), RevenueCat (subscription management), Axiom (analytics), and Apple/Google sign-in. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. Flip is not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
Features may change over time, including imports, rules, recipe processing, and UI behavior. We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any modification or discontinuation of the App.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Locally stored data will remain on your device unless you delete the App.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Flip and its developers, officers, and affiliates are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to errors in recipe content, nutritional data inaccuracies, data loss, or service interruptions.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Flip, its developers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the App will be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the App will be resolved through individual binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules. You agree to waive your right to participate in a class-action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration. This does not affect any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
